UPCOMING STORYCRAFTING EVENINGS
FIRST MONDAY OF THE MONTH
North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Center, Room 3
7521 Carmel Ave NE
Albuquerque, NM 87113
Limited to 12 people
LISTENERS ARE ALSO WELCOME!
What: Storycrafting groups provide members the opportunity to grow their storytelling skills. Volunteers share a story in progress (or perhaps an idea), and request feedback on one or more aspects of their work. Positive feedback always precedes constructive suggestions for how to possibly improve the telling or story idea, in keeping with your specific request.
When: First Monday of the month from 5:30-8:30 p.m. (limited to 12 people; please
reserve the Friday before--see below)
Where: North Domingo Baca Multigenerational Center, Room 3
7521 Carmel Ave NE
Albuquerque, NM 87113
Who: Storycrafting is intended for storytellers (from beginning to seasoned) who want to improve their skills. The storycrafting group is typically very supportive, and a lovely and growing community. Join us!
Each Storycrafting will be facilitated by a member of Storytellers of New Mexico, drawn from our board members and members. Join us!

The new space has a real modern feel with views of the mountains from some of the rooms (but will be better viewed in the summer months). There are balconies and a café. Storycrafting will be in Room 3. If you are stopped by the front desk, tell them you are here for a meeting with Storytellers of New Mexico.
Reservations Requested: Space is limited to the first 12 people who register. Let Elaine Muray know the Friday before the scheduled storycrafting if you plan to attend at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What to Bring: Whatever you can bring to get you through the dinner hour as long as it doesn't crunch or otherwise make a loud sound, so as to be respectful to the tellers and listeners. The facilitator for the night will bring drinks, and a light snack, as well as cups, napkins, and necessary plates (if needed) to get you through the evening in case you forgot to pack something. There is a Flying Star just two blocks away that is open until 9:30 if you need to grab something before or after (at the corner of Paseo del Norte and Wyoming.) We will have snacks and drink shortly after arrival and you can eat as you wish. We will also take a short break about halfway through, with a goal to clean up by 8:15.
Directions: From the North or South I-25. Take exit for Paseo del Norte heading east. Turn north on Wyoming. Turn left onto Carmel. The center will be on your right. Make a right into the parking lot and go toward the "back" which is really the front but doesn't face Carmel. Park and enter through the door. Although I have seen all the spaces, at this writing, I do not know if Room 3 is upstairs or downstairs. However, there are both elevators and steps available.
Santa Fe Folks: We always welcome you in ABQ! However, we are working on getting the same set up for you in Santa Fe. If interested or have ideas, please contact Annie Swift email@example.com.
RSVP FOR STORY CRAFTING IS REQUESTED BY THE PRECEDING FRIDAY, PLEASE!
